ABSTRACT:
In the hydrodesulfurization of sulfur-containing heavy hydrocarbon oils, water is injected into the hydrotreating gas and vaporized at a temperature below 450.degree. F. to produce a steam-containing hydrotreating gas which is combined subsequently with the sulfur-containing heavy hydrocarbon oil.
