ABSTRACT:
The subject invention provides a hydraulic saildrive apparatus comprising an upper unit103having an input shaft1connected to an engine102inside a boat, and a lower unit104having an output shaft4including a propeller shaft2and also having a lower portion protruding from the boat's bottom, wherein the upper unit103is provided with a hydraulic forward and reverse switching clutch5for transmitting the rotation direction of the input shaft1to the propeller shaft2, the clutch5being capable of changing the rotation direction between forward and reverse relative to the input shaft1.
