ABSTRACT:
A hydraulic energy translating pump or motor of the axial piston type having a cam assembly for reciprocating the pistons in a rotary cylinder block, the cam assembly consisting of a rough machined or cast supporting surface with a thin, deformable, thrust ring being mounted on the rough supporting surface and having a smooth bearing surface slidably engaging bearing slippers pivotally mounted on the ends of the pistons.
