ABSTRACT:
A fluid pressure cylinder has a piston rod18fixed to a piston26and projecting outside a cylinder body23. A lock surface43inclining to a radial direction of the piston rod18is formed in an engagement member31provided in the piston rod18. A lock rod35reciprocating in an about right-angle direction to the piston rod18is built into a lock cylinder33provided in the cylinder body23. The lock rod35is provided with: a large-diameter section35afitted into a guide hole36formed in the lock cylinder33; and a slide contact section37provided in the large-diameter section35avia a constriction section35b. The slide contact section37contacts with a radial-inner portion of the lock surface43when the lock rod35comes nearest to the piston rod18.
