ABSTRACT:
A random equilibrium mixture of triethylene glycol diesters of acetic and propionic acids, wherein the molar ratio of acetyl to propionyl groups in the mixed ester composition is from about 40:60 to 50:50, is useful as a hydraulic brake fluid. The composition shows no increase in low temperature (-40.degree.C.) viscosity in the presence of up to 6% by weight of water.
