ABSTRACT:
A hand held power assisted apparatus is provided for assembling a rigid tube into a flexible hose in an automobile assembly line environment. The apparatus includes a frame with first and second gripper assemblies mounted on the frame. An actuator assembly is connected between the frame and the first gripper assembly for moving the first gripper assembly toward the second gripper assembly to insert the rigid tube into the flexible hose.
