ABSTRACT:
A cord retention arm for use in an apparatus for making a tire reinforcement from a continuous cord and applying the reinforcement to a tire core. The cord retention arm includes an extended support having a bent end terminating in a tip for supporting a loop of the cord. The extended support includes a portion spaced more remotely from the bent end and a portion intermediate the more remote portion and the bent end, the portions being bent with respect to each other to define a plane, the said bent end extending laterally and diagonally to the plane.
