ABSTRACT:
An elastomeric composition containing (a) a heat-vulcanizable organic elastomer, (b) a polyorganosiloxane, (c) a polyorganosilses-quioxane, and (d) a compatibilizer. The elastomeric composition can be cured and utilized in applications involving the damping of vibration and noise created by various devices. The elastomer, (a), and the two organo-silicone compounds, (b) and (c), synergistically provide excellent damping characteristics throughout a broad temperature range.
