ABSTRACT:
In a high-voltager transformer including a closed casing, a magnetic core with at least one winding, a cooling liquid filling the casing and surrounding the winding, and insulated casing lead-throughs for connecting external lines to the winding, a compensating device forms part of the casing and is exposed to the cooling liquid for permitting expansion of the cooling liquid on being heated, and the cooling liquid is subjected to a pressure greater than that of the ambient air at all operating temperatures of the transformer.
