ABSTRACT:
A multi-phase, high temperature-resistant material with an intermetallic base alloy of the .gamma.-TiAl type, is intended in particular for use in heat engines, such as internal combustion engines, gas turbines and aircraft engines. The material has a content of aluminum of from 30 to 40 atom %, silicon of from 0.1 to 20 atom %, niobium of from 0.1 to 15 atom %, and a remainder of titanium.
