ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a high-strength, low-alloy, cast bainitic steel which has excellent weldability and ductility, and which maintains its toughness at low temperatures. The steel achieves these properties by having vanadium and a high nitrogen concentration while minimizing elements which decrease toughness, such as titanium.
