ABSTRACT:
A joint protector of high strength impact resistant material is used for absorbing and dissipating energy from the high impact contact. The protector includes a preformed lightweight high strength material contoured to fit the joint. The preformed contoured material is covered with layers of impact absorbing padding and encased in an elastic cover. The high strength material is shaped to cover from 50-75% of the joint.
