ABSTRACT:
A high speed fiber optic communication link having a differential transmir circuit for receiving digital data and providing a first output for transmitting a signal representing a logic "one" and a second output for transmitting a signal representing a logic "zero". First and second light emitting diodes are provided for converting the electrical signals into light signals. These light signals are transmitted by optical waveguides to first and second light detecting diodes which convert the light signals back into electrical signals. These converted electrical signals are then amplified by a differential receiver circuit.
