A wax containing the reaction product of: (a) a C6–C12linear dicarboxylic acid; and (b) a diamine of formula H2N(CH2)nNH2, wherein n is an integer from 2 to 6, and the molar ratio of the C6–C12linear dicarboxylic acid to the diamine is from 0.97 to 1.06.
