ABSTRACT:
The novel heteropolysaccharide BM07, useful, e.g., as a thickening/stabilizing/suspending agent for a wide variety of industrial applications, is produced by fermenting a nutrient medium containing at least one source of assimilable carbon with a strain of Agrobacterium tumefaciens I-736, or recombinant or mutant thereof.
