ABSTRACT:
Provided is a novel heterocyclic compound which is useful as a material for an organic electroluminescent device. The heterocyclic compound is represented by the general formula [I]:wherein X represents a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom; Y represents O or S; R1and R2each represent, independently of one another, a group selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group and the like; a represents 0 or more and 3 or less; b represents 0 or more and 3 or less; and Ar1represents a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring or the like; and n represents an integer of 2 to 10.
