Compounds of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Alk is a straight or branched chain alkylene of about 1 to 12 carbons and R.sup.1 is a heterocyclic ring system, have been found to possess potent antisecretory activity and are thus useful in the treatment of hyperacidity.
