ABSTRACT:
Treatment of warm-blooded animals infected with the herpes II virus by concurrently orally administering an antiviral agent effective against said virus and suitable for oral administration while topically applying the same or a different such agent to lesions caused by the infection. Effective antivirals include .alpha.,.alpha.-dimethyl-beta-adamantylethylamine and N,N-dialkyl,.alpha.,.alpha.-dimethyl-beta-adamantylethylamine.
