ABSTRACT:
The suction gas supply tubes are made integral with the seal for sealing the gap between the cylinder head and the cylinder block caused by the valve assembly. The suction gas supply tubes have flared inlets and a long, narrow tapering cross section to minimize flow loses. Additionally, the length of the tubes is such that they provide pressure pulse attenuation and tuning.
