ABSTRACT:
The soil life of herbicidally active thiocarbamates is extended by employing in combination therewith certain organophosphorus compounds having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.4 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sup.5 is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 cyanoalkylthio, and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylamino; R.sup.6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl, and carbomethoxy; R.sup.7 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and chlorine; and X is oxygen or sulfur.
