ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to novel herbicidal compositions containing (i) a herbicidally effective amount of a herbicidal compound selected from atrazine [2-chloro-4-(ethylamino)-6-(isopropylamino)S-triazine] and cyanazine [2-chloro-4-(1-cyano-1-methylethylamino)-6-ethylamino-S-triazine] and (ii) an antidotally effective amount of an antidotal compound having the formula ##STR1## wherein R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined herein. This invention also relates to methods for protecting cotton plants from injury due to conventional herbicides and for the selective control of undesirable vegetation in cotton crops by application of the novel herbicidal compositions.
