A herbicidal composition comprising (a) 9-(4-chloro-5 -methoxycarbonylmethylthio-2-fluorophenyl)-8-thia-1,6-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]n onan-7-on and (b) 2-[4,5-dihydro-4-methyl-4-(1 -methylethyl)-5-oxo-1H-imidazol-2-yl]-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid, 2-[4,5-dihydro-4-methyl-4-(1-methylethyl-5-oxo-1H-imidazol-2-yl]-5-ethyl-3 -pyridinecarboxylic acid, its ester or its salt, as active ingredients.
