ABSTRACT:
Current distribution between parallel-connected, coaxial, helical coils is determined by rectangular conductors having a selected radial thickness and longitudinal widths so that each coil carries the desired current. First adjacent ends of all of the coils are connected together at the same physical location by a first common terminal, and second adjacent ends of all of the coils are connected together at the same physical location by a second common terminal. The rectangular conductors facilitate winding and supporting coaxial coils, and different conductor widths and winding pitches permit each coil to be designed so that it has the desired characteristics and importantly so that it carries the desired current.
