ABSTRACT:
A device for adjusting the height of an arrangement2relative to a mounting surface3is disclosed. Height-adjusting device1is designed so that during height adjustment no friction takes place as a result of rotation of the contact sites of the height-adjusting devices1with the mounting surface3. Height-adjusting device1consists of a rotary wheel8, a socket9and a foot11. The height adjustment of rotary wheel8and foot11relative to the stationary socket9occurs in telescopic manner. Height-adjusting device1is designed so that the foot11undergoes a displacement twice as large as does rotary wheel8. A support (30) for an optical system is provided with several height-adjusting devices1connected with the bottom5of a base31of the support30. On the support30there are provided a left and a right hand rest31aand31bwhich are fastened to the base31of the support30by means of a hinge32so that independently of the height adjustment of the support30, the edges32aof the left or right hand rest located opposite the hinge always rest on the mounting surface3.
