ABSTRACT:
A tire2has a belt14and a hard rubber layer16. The belt14has a first ply26, a second ply28, a third ply30and a fourth ply32. A width W3of the third ply30is smaller than a width W1of the first ply26and a width W2of the second ply28, and 75% of a width of a tread. Each of the plies26, 28, 30, 32has a steel cord. The first ply26and the second ply28construct a cross-ply structure. A cord of the third ply30is wound spirally. The third ply30has what is referred to as a jointless structure. The hard rubber layer16is positioned between the first ply26and the second ply28, and outward of the third ply30in an axial direction. A complex elastic modulus of the hard rubber layer16is equal to or greater than 30 MPa.
