ABSTRACT:
A heat-sensitive transfer material comprising a support having provided thereon a heat-sensitive transfer layer, wherein said layer contains a dye represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, aryloxy group, an aralkyl group, a cyano group, an acylamino group, a sulfonylamino group, a ureido group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a sulfonyl group, an acyl group, or an amino group;
