A heat-sensitive recording paper is described, comprising a paper support and a heat-sensitive color-forming layer on the paper support, wherein the paper support contains a cationic softening agent, such as a maleic anhydride copolymer/polyalkylenepolyamine reaction product. This recording paper is excellent both in highspeed recording and curling properties.
