ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a substrate having thereon a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a diazonium coupler, being represented by the following general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an aryl group, an alkyl group, a cyano group, an acyl group, a substituted carbamoyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, an acyloxy group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, or an arylthio group.
The diazo-type heat-sensitive recording material, which develops a violet to cyan color, has excellent image stability and image fixing characteristics.
