ABSTRACT:
A heat-sensitive recording material is disclosed, which comprises a support having provided thereon a transparent heat-sensitive layer comprising color former-containing microcapsules and at least one color developer, wherein the color developer contains a compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkoxy group, an alkyl group, or a phenyl group; Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; and n is an integer of from 2 to 10.
The heat-sensitive recording material provides a heat-sensitive layer having high sensitivity and good transparency.
