ABSTRACT:
Novel heat resistant foams can be obtained by heating metal phosphonates or metal phosphonate precursors to temperatures of above 200.degree. C. They may for example be used as electrical and/or heat insulation materials, in the production of mouldings, as a cavity filler, as carriers for active ingredients and/or as fillers with low bulk densities.
