ABSTRACT:
A fixing method comprises the step of passing a recording material with a toner image between a heat fixing member and a pressure applying member to fix the toner onto the recording material, a silicone oil being coated on the surface of the heat fixing member, wherein the toner contains a binder resin and a low molecular weight polyolefin, and the silicone oil is a fluorine-containing silicone oil having a structure unit represented by the following Formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents a saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an aryl group; R.sub.f represents a fluoroalkyl group having 2-10 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 1 to 4.
