ABSTRACT:
A process for making a monolithic heat-exchanger body includes the steps of arranging a plurality of rigid plastic tubular members in a mold, casting a composition comprising a refractory material and water into the mold and around the tubular member to form molded body, drying the molded body, and passing a hot gas through the tubular members in the molded body to remove them.
