ABSTRACT:
A heat exchanger employed as an evaporator includes a heat exchange core section and first to fourth headers5, 6, 9, 11. The headers5, 6include hollow header bodies10, 20having opposite ends opened, and caps18a, 18b, 19a, 19bfixed to the corresponding opposite end openings. The caps18a, 18bhave flat wall portions32a, 33a, 34awhich close the corresponding end openings of the header bodies10, 20. A reinforcement projection portion30projecting toward the interior of the header5is formed on the flat wall portion32aof the cap18a. In the heat exchanger, the header5exhibits enhanced withstand pressure.
