ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a head-stock for a milling and boring machine, comprising a body in which a boring spindle and a milling sleeve or spindle arranged around the boring spindle are mounted to rotate, wherein a tubular member is mounted to rotate around the milling sleeve or spindle to which tubular member is secured a ring which is of large diameter and which is situated in the front face of the body, said ring being capable of being connected selectively to means for driving it round at high speed for machining purposes and to means for driving it round at slow speed for indexing purposes.
