To shield a frame area203b, a frame-like shield member501is superimposed over an LCD203while being separated from the LCD203by a distance L. The distance L satisfiesin-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?L<2×(B−A)×f/Din-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?where f is a focal length of an optical system, D is a human pupil diameter determined statistically in advance, B is a width of the frame area, and A is a value determined statistically in advance as a width which will not be able to be shielded on a side of the frame area to be shielded by a side of the shield member.
