ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a method for supporting a handover of a mobile station1from a first radio access unit3, 8of a wireless communication network2to a second radio access unit4, 9of a wireless communication network2. In order to improve a context transfer in the case of a handover of the mobile station1, the mobile station1transmits information about its activity state to the second radio access unit4, 9when it is to be handed over to the second radio access unit4, 9. The invention relates equally to such a mobile station, to such a second radio access unit, to a wireless communication system comprising such a mobile station and such a second radio access unit, and to a software code causing the transfer of information at the mobile station.
