ABSTRACT:
A hand portable device such as a mobile telephone10includes an engine assembly12and a cover14, 16for encasing the engine assembly. The device10further includes a closing arrangement44, 45, 46, 50alterable between a first condition in which it retains the cover14, 16on the engine assembly12and a second condition in which it allows at least a part14of the cover to be removed from the engine assembly12, the closing arrangement including a polymer actuator50, the configuration of which may be altered to alter the condition of the closing arrangement.
