ABSTRACT:
A device for crimping a rigid, tubular ferrule for securing a coupling to a flexible hose comprising a pair of crimping dies, each die having a concave face and spaced ribs formed on each of the concave faces. The ribs have a ramp portion formed on opposite ends thereof and in the knotched central portion. The die support has a central web having a flange extending outwardly from each end, one of the flanges being adapted to hold one of the dies. The second die is moveable along a track formed on the central web defining a straight path toward the first die. A screw urges the moveable die along the track to engage the first die and perform the crimping operation.
