ABSTRACT:
Halogenobiphenyl derivatives of Formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each alkyl or alkoxy in each case of 1-10 C atoms, Cy is 1,4-cyclohexylene, Ph is 1,4-phenylene, Q is --O--Cy-- or --O--Ph--, m and n are each 0 or 1 and X is F, Cl or Br, can be used as components of liquid crystal dielectrics for electrooptical display elements.
