ABSTRACT:
A hair cosmetic composition, for example a shampoo, for the treatment of wet hair on the head to reduce the time necessary for drying the hair, including a vinyl polymer containing monomers of the general formula ##EQU1## where Y is a partially or wholly fluorinated C.sub.1 -C.sub.11 alkyl group and Y' and Y" individually are either the same or different partially or wholly fluorinated C.sub.1 -C.sub.11 alkyl groups or hydrogen atoms and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
