ABSTRACT:
An arrangement for guiding a web of material, e.g., a pulp web or paper web, within a web production machine may include at least one web stabilizer extending substantially across an entire width of the web of material. The arrangement may also include at least one blower box located on at least one side of the web stabilizer and positioned in the vicinity of a lateral edge of the paper web. The blower box may be positioned to provide a negative pressure that substantially reduces web fluttering and the occurrence of web breaks due to fluttering.
