ABSTRACT:
A class of compounds having growth hormone releasing activity is described. These compounds have the formula H-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu-Ser- Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-X-Ser-Arg-Gln-Gln-Gly-Glu-Ser-Asn-Gln-Glu-A rg-Gly-Ala-Arg-Ala-Arg-Leu-Y in which Y is OH or NH.sub.2 and X is selected from the group consisting of Met(O), Met(S-Me), Hse, Gln, Asn, Ser, Thr, Leu, Ile, Ala, Gly, Pro, Val, Phe, Trp, Tyr, Cys, Lys, Arg, His, Glu, and Asp.
