ABSTRACT:
A low resistance backfill material for use in anode beds for cathodic protection of subsurface metallic structures. The backfill material consists of a mixture of carbonaceous materials, a lubricant, and a surfactant, which material may be mixed with water and pumped as a high density fluidized suspension into the anode bed.
