ABSTRACT:
A grease compatible cyclic olefin extended polyurethane comprising the reaction product of an isocyanate terminated polyisocyanate with a polyol in the presence of a cyclic olefin extender and, a plasticizer having a total solubility parameter of between about 8.3 and 8.9 or about 9.1 and 9.7. Certain extended polyurethanes are characterized as being reenterable, such that they can be used for repairing, encapsulation or reclaiming electrical or telephone cables.
