ABSTRACT:
A golf club head has a ratio of a head mass to a head volume equal to or grater than 3 g/cm2, and a face portion that includes an impact surface is configured by a member made from an aluminum alloy having a maximum tensile strength equal to or greater than 600 MPa. The aluminum alloy is made by using a rapid quenching method. The golf club head can improve the carry distance and the flight direction characteristics of a hit golf ball compared with a conventional golf club head.
