ABSTRACT:
A golf club with a club head having a front ball striking face, and top and bottom walls. The striking face has a configuration which gradually narrows downwardly to form a relatively blunt lower apex on the perimeter of the face. The bottom wall surface extends rearwardly and upwardly from the lower edge of the striking face toward the top wall surface. The striking face configuration and the bottom wall surface configuration substantially reduces turf contact and drag resistance on both the back and forward swings. The striking surface has a pitch angle with loft to lift and fly the golf ball over intervening turf onto a golf green.
