ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a medicament selected from the group consisting of glycosylglucans corresponding to the general formula ##STR1## (where n is an integer) and the molecular weight of which is between about 130,000 and 1,200,000 and preferably between about 500,000 and about 600,000. This medicament is particularly useful in gastroenterology and in particular in the treatment of disorders of the colon; it is administered by the oral route in association with a physiologically acceptable excipient.
