Sweetening agents, characterized in that they conform to the following formula: ##STR1## wherein: A is an imino (.dbd.N--), iminium (.dbd.N.sup.+ <), methylene (.dbd.C<) group, the iminium group being able to be salified by a physiologically acceptable anion;
