A glass sheet packing apparatus has a base plate3for supporting a plurality of glass sheets10in parallel and upright; a side frame2for holding faces of a group of glass sheets loaded on the base plate; and a top frame4for holding the top face of the glass sheets loaded on the base plate; wherein the glass sheets are fixed by a band5together with the side frame2and the top frame. The side frame2is a pair of a male frame6and a female frame7, each formed in a L-shape by a vertical square pipe and a horizontal square pipe, the horizontal square pipe of the male frame6is inserted into the horizontal square pipe of the female frame7to form a letter U like shape.
