ABSTRACT:
Gibberellin A.sub.4 can be separated from the mixture of gibberellin A.sub.4 /A.sub.7 by placing a dilute aqueous mixture thereof at the pH of at least 9 for one day or more and subsequent adjustment of the pH to below 5.5, thereby precipitating substantially pure A.sub.4.
